Kristina Kelman - KO KO

 

 

KO KO is a classy jazz quartet features vocals, bass, drums and piano or guitar. It will add an elegant touch to your event playing a selection of well known jazz standards in the style of all the greats – Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Diana Krall just to name a few. 

This versatile ensemble will have no problem getting your guests up dancing with a more lively dance set of funky favourites.

KoKo is also available as a three-piece (Guitar or Piano, Bass and Vocals) or really jazz it up as a five-piece with the addition of our very handsome sax player!

Jazz Quartet KoKo is fronted by one of Queensland’s favourite corporate entertainers, Kristina Kelman. Kristina is regarded and respected as an accomplished jazz and contemporary vocalist, and has performed throughout Australia and abroad. Her classic style blends equal parts of artistic vision, hard work and determination. Kristina entices the listener as she carefully blends her warm, rich colour, together with her remarkable musicianship and ability to transform melodies and make them her own.

Kristina has performed with Don Burrows and his quartet, Tommy Tycho and the QLD Symphony Orchestra, and Frank Bennett. She has supported such artists as Tina Arena, James Morrison, Grace Knight, Marcia Hines, Vince Jones and Glen Shorrock, as well as performing regularly with Young Talent Time’s Beven Addinsall.   If you’re interested in booking live music for your party or function, this professional jazz quartet will bring a whole degree of sophistication to the event. Swing and a Miss is in no way related to golf, though many a golfer have enjoyed dancing to the vibrant and nostalgic tunes of the jazz and big band era. Let this Brisbane Swing Band take you there!

From Frank Sinatra to Michael Buble, this 8-piece swing band will have your toes tapping and fingers clicking right from the very start.  Swing and a Miss have been entertaining audiences for over ten years with their professionalism, musicianship and sense of fun.

For larger events, this ensemble can be expanded into a ten-piece, twelve-piece or full size big band.

 

 

 
Kristina has performed alongside such artists as: Tina Arena, James Morrison, Don Burrows, Grace Knight, Frank Bennett, Jackie Love and Barry Crocker
She has been a support artist for Marcia Hines and Glen Shorrock.
Her vocal versatility was highlighted when she played the lead role of Maria in the Brisbane production of West Side Story in 1997.
Holding a Masters Degree in Music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music,
